Recruiter seeks, on behalf of a major US manufacturer serving the commercial aircraft industry, a China Financial Controller. The Joint Venture Controller reports to the China JV Geneal Manager and to the CFO at the US firm. Goal: to optimize the net operating income of the company through control of expenditures and implementation of accounting practices and financial analyses consistent with US GAAP requirements. The Joint Venture Controller is expected to operate effectively with a minimum of supervision that enables the Joint Venture Controller to be virtually self-supervisory and work toward predetermined long-range goals of the company.  Assignments will often be self-initiated objectives.

•   Safeguarding the assets of the company through definition and enforcement of internal controls and procedures.

•   Supervise and train staff in timely and accurate account analysis that insures accuracy of reported financial results.

•   Ensuring effective and accurate measurement of manufacturing costs and variances to established standards.

•   Identifying and implement system and procedural controls on a daily/weekly basis to detect transaction errors.

•   Maintaining compliance with US GAAP accounting and reporting standards as well as compliance with Chinese law.

•   Responsible for completing all financial, governmental and regulatory reporting requirements without disruption including all required tax returns.

•   Assist the Joint Venture General Manager in maintaining Human Resource duties and responsibilities including hiring, maintaining benefits and overseeing payroll preparation and distribution.

Decision Making:  Requires the ability to work independently and coordinate team activities toward general results and to devise new methods and meet new conditions for involved or complex assignments.

High-volume Commercial electronics firm in Hong Kong in process of expanding to multiple divisions in several Asian countries including China requires a high-energy China Financial Controller to handle growing accounting department. Recruiter seeks a China Financial Controller who has had a strong record of achievement as a controller, finance manager or accounting manager at a manufacturing company, ideally in a high technology field.
