COPY AND PASTE FROM
A PC
TO THE RESUME BOX ON
OUR ONLINE APPLICATION
(Other operating systems procedure
is very similar. Consult your computer's
HELP)
1. Open Your Resume
in Your Word Processor (or other document with your Resume)
| Firstly,
highlight (also called "select") the text you wish to copy. You may do
so either by going to EDIT and choosing SELECT ALL, or by first pressing
the "CTRL" key and then, while still holding down the CTRL key, press the
"A" key. The entire text area should be highlighted now, usually in black.
If you do not see this, something is either wrong with your computer (try
to restart your computer first) or you did not press the A key WHILE HOLDING
DOWN the Control key. |

|
2. Copy Your Resume to Your Computer's
Clipboard
| Secondly,
you must copy the selected text from the one program to your computer's
clipboard, which is a sort of electronic waiting-room for stored data,
waiting to be pasted somewhere. To copy to your clipboard, from your word
processor, either go to EDIT and choose COPY, or press the CTRL key, and,
still holding it down, now press the C key. |

|
3. Pasting Your Resume into the
Resume/CV Box on the ART Application
| Thirdly,
Click your cursor into the upper left hand corner of the ART Candidate
Application resume box, at the bottom of the form. Now, while holding down
the CTRL key, press V. This will Paste your resume into the box. If you
do not see it, something is wrong. Try steps 1, 2, and 3 again. If you
still are not seeing text, you likely have to restart your computer and
begin the process anew. If you see the text in the box, Click the "SEND
TO ART" button. |
