Spain

    A. WHOM DO WE RECRUIT FOR THE SPAIN MARKET?

    1. Local managers for foreign companies, where the goal is to increase local market share with bilingual managers who have strong track records of success in the local markets of Spain

      • Our emphasis in this kind of search is to find managers who perform well in accordance with the business culture of the foreign company. In addition to being fluent in Italian and English, ART has candidates in certain industry sectors who are fluent in other European, Asian and Mideast languages, allowing for stronger communications between HQ and the local market.

      • Whenever possible, for this kind of search we seek candidates who have worked at their best at foreign firms in this capacity. We take particular care to try to find people who are accustomed to working in a business model that resembles that of the client company. A person who works well at a top, large Spanish firm, for example, might not be the right person as employee #1 at a foreign greenfield business unit in Spain.

      • Our objective in this search is to find candidates who are sensitive to both the business culture of the home company and to that of the local Spanish customer. The objective is to find a leader whom the foreign company can trust to run their business, while effectively reaching local customers in a way that they will find comforting.

    1. Fast-paced, internationally oriented Spanish-speaking managers for Spanish firms that need to change their management style to reflect a more outward, pan-European or global management style, in order to compete more effectively globally

      • Very large corporations, as well as traditional medium sized family-owned Spanish firms, might need to find this kind of change-agent senior manager to help their long range business growth plans.

      • Spanish high-tech or service sector firms often need this kind of candidate for their senior management ranks, because their industry's business model can be quite different from the management style prevalent among many managers at prominent local firms.

      • Generally local recruitment firms do not recruit these kinds of candidates, or they do not recognize them very well. ART, however, specializes in finding this kind of person. Specifically because we are an American executive search firm, we are very familiar with this kind of business style, and we can best recognize and evaluate candidates with this business style.

    1. Foreign managers, many fluent in Spanish as well as English and the local language, who can be trusted to manage Spanish business units in Europe, Asia, Latin America, North America, Africa or the Middle East

      • When expanding overseas, many Spanish firms do not know where to find local managers who have a high enough standard of training to properly manage their business. ART candidates in other countries, some trained in Spain, and tested as general managers at leading world companies, could be the best way for European companies to expand abroad.

      • ART's approach to executive search is to avoid risks whenever possible and to find candidates who bring the best long term benefits to the client company.

      • Unlike most recruitment firms based in Spain, which have to depend upon outsourced recruiters and unclear partnerships with foreign recruiters for overseas searches, ART does 100% of all our own recruitment. We recruit directly in over 100 countries, and we never use any other recruitment company to find our candidates. In this way, we are able to deliver excellent candidates with the same level of efficiency and quality of service that is expected in our clients' home countries.

    B. PROFILE OF ART: AN EXECUTIVE SEARCH FINE-TUNED FOR DYNAMIC GLOBAL FIRMS

Founded in the U.S., ART is a one-stop worldwide executive search firm, bringing the highest and most exacting North American standards of executive search (headhunting), coupled with the fast paced, results-oriented, and efficient style that 21st Century European business demands.

We are a worldwide executive search firm recruiting senior management for multinationals, fast growth medium sized firms, and dynamic startups. We recruit "world class" managers for the industrial, high tech, and service sectors.

ART recruits on a pan-European basis, and within all linguistic and cultural communities of Europe. Most European executive search firms, by contrast, are highly localized, so that a search firm in London might not have many candidate or company contacts in Manchester; a Paris recruitment firm might not know people or companies in Grenoble or Sophia-Antipolis; a Munich search firm might not know candidates or companies in Berlin or Dresden, and certainly not in Stockholm, Brussels, Amsterdam, Madrid, Milan or Warsaw. Because most European recruitment firms are not even experts in their own countries, much less on a pan-European level, our competitors are useless to our typical clients and candidates.

When European candidates or European companies need to look beyond their immediate cities, across their province, across their nation, in order to find the best European managers who think on a continental basis, local recruitment companies that divide Europe into small feudal recruitment territories are just not of the right mindset to be of help. In these cases, when a European or a foreign firm needs to quickly evaluate the best candidates across Europe, ART can be of greatest help.

European firms wishing to expand into the US, Latin America, Asia, the Mideast or Africa, can also rely on ART to help introduce the right contacts in those regions. We know and respect local markets while serving as a bridge between them. This is the great value that ART brings its clients and candidates.

There are many opportunities in the Europe market, for both employers and candidates. But the difference between success and failure in a strategic executive search assignment could rest upon the experience of the headhunter who makes the match between one person and one company. All ART searches are managed by a recruiter with a minimum of ten years' experience in executive search - a standard of care and professionalism frequently lacking in our competition. We hope that you give ART an opportunity to prove our abilities to you. We believe that our risk-free, results-only process will make using ART a great resource for you in Europe and beyond.

    C. TYPICAL ART CLIENT PROFILES

Our client companies seeking candidates in Europe are European, North American, or Asian firms, including the leading companies in their industries.

    D. TYPICAL ART CANDIDATE PROFILES

CEO's, COO's, CFO's, VP's, Presidents, Managing Directors, General Managers, Country Managers, Sales and Marketing Directors, National Sales Managers, Financial Controllers, M&A Specialists, Plant Managers, Manufacturing Directors, Supply Chain Directors, Sourcing Directors, and others

Our candidates are experienced candidates with good track records of achievement at our clients' competitors, or at firms having the right product or customer exposures to make hiring our candidates a relatively low-risk matter.

    E. OUR HOURS

The Europe Market and the Global Economy have no time to lose, so our hours are your hours.

ART's operations center is open virtually 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Candidates and employers the world over can work with their ART recruiter in their own time zone. There is not a need when working with ART to have to take into account what time zone the recruiter is located in. While our competition is asleep, ART recruiters are working dutifully to fill our client needs. This means that typically ART searches are completed in half or third of the time as our competition, allowing our client companies to rapidly evaluate our candidates and to get started an interview process for their very important needs.

    F. ART FEES & OTHER POLICIES

    • There is no fee to a client for our services if they do not hire our candidate
    • A fee is only due if the client hires our candidate
    • Our fee is a single fee, quoted at the start of the search. It is a flat fee that is calculated according to the unique specifics of the client's search need. This fee is not based on candidate salary and it does not change according to the candidate's salary. There are no additional charges of any kind.
    • ART fees are quoted in US dollars, thereby frequently offering an additional benefit to Eurozone clients
    • Most European search firms require retainers (advanced payments), exclusives, and many months to complete their searches. ART is paid nothing, unless the client is satisfied with our candidates.
    • We welcome competition on any search, because competition is good for us and for our clients. We want our clients to hire only the best possible candidate, even if it should be from another search firm. By contrast, most of our competitors view executive search contracts as relationships where the client is forced to guarantee them payment, even if they are not satisfied with the candidates presented to them.
    • We normally complete our searches in 2-4 weeks, regardless of the location or title. How do we do this? Because we only accept searches for which we believe we are competent.
    • ART bases its executive search recruitment on headhunting via the "direct approach" method, whereas many of our competitors only know how to find candidates by advertising, and other luck-based strategies of recruitment. We do not believe that our clients hire us to place jobs advertisements. They need us to find specific people with specific skills at a specific, targeted group of companies. That is what headhunters know how to do.
