- Shanghai & Central China: Shanghai, Suzhou, Ningbo, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Fuzhou, Wuxi
- Hong Kong & South China: Hong Kong, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Dongguan, Zhuhai, Macau, Xiamen
- Western China: Wuhan, Chengdu, Chongqing, Xi'an, Kunming
- Taiwan: Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, Taoyuan, Kaohsiung
OUR RECRUITMENT FOCUS IN THE GREATER CHINA MARKET
Local managers for foreign companies, where the goal is to increase local market share with bilingual Chinese-English or multilingual managers who have strong track records of success in the markets of China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, or in the Asia-Pacific Region as a whole.
- Our emphasis in this kind of search is to find managers who perform well in accordance with the business culture of the foreign company. In addition to being fluent in Chinese and English, ART has candidates in certain industry sectors who are fluent in other European or Asian languages, allowing for stronger communications between HQ and the local market.
- Whenever possible, for this kind of search we seek candidates who have worked at their best in this role at foreign firms. We take particular care to try to find people who are accustomed to working in a business model that resembles that of the client company. A person who works well at a top, large Chinese, Taiwanese or Hong Kong firm, for example, might not be the right person as employee #1 at a foreign greenfield business unit in China, Taiwan or Hong Kong.
- Our objective in this search is to find candidates who are sensitive to both the business culture of the home company and to that of the local Chinese, Taiwanese or Hong Kong customers or staff. The objective is to find a leader whom the foreign company can trust to run their business, while effectively reaching local customers and employees in a way that they will find comforting.
- We also recruit foreign managers who have strong track records of management in the Greater China region, along with education and employment experience abroad, frequently from Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, the United States, Canada, or Europe. Some of these candidates are fully fluent in Chinese, while others are not. Some require expatriate benefits packages, while some do not.
- Searches might be at the national level or sub-national level (China Country Manager, Taiwan Country Manager, Hong Kong Manager, North China Manager, South China Manager), Greater China level, or pan-Asia level.
Fast-paced, internationally oriented Chinese-speaking senior managers for Chinese, Taiwanese or Hong Kong firms that need to change their management style to reflect a more outward, pan-Asian or global management style, in order to compete more effectively globally
- Very large Chinese, Taiwanese or Hong Kong corporations, medium sized public corporations, as well as traditional medium sized privately-owned, that might need to find a change-agent senior manager to help their long range business growth plans.
- Even Chinese-speaking hiring managers and human resources managers in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, and North America have relied upon ART to assist them with their needs in mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. This is because our experience in finding highly accomplished managers in Greater China is what counts. Always with our focus on being both global and local, we understand that each country and each city in this region has its own advantages and challenges in finding the right executives for our client companies
Foreign managers, some fluent in Chinese as well as English and the local language, who can be trusted to manage Chinese, Taiwanese or Hong Kong business units in Europe, Asia, Latin America, North America, Africa or the Middle East
- When expanding overseas, many Chinese, Taiwanese, or Hong Kong firms do not know where to find local managers who have a high enough standard of training to properly manage their business. ART candidates in other countries have been tested as managers at leading world companies, and they could be the best way for Chinese, Taiwanese, or Hong Kong companies to expand abroad.
- ART's approach to executive search is to avoid risks whenever possible and to find candidates who bring the best long term benefits to the client company.
- Unlike most recruitment firms based in China, Taiwan, or Hong Kong, which have to depend upon outsourced recruiters and unclear partnerships with foreign recruiters for overseas searches, ART does 100% of all our own recruitment. We recruit directly in over 100 countries, and we never use any other recruitment company to find our candidates. In this way, we are able to deliver excellent candidates with the same level of efficiency and quality of service that is expected in our clients' home countries.
- We also recruit Chinese-speaking managers outside of the Greater China region. Most of these managers have strong business experiences in the target area, language and market. Because many of these managers have effectively localized, they often do not require expatriate benefits.

PROFILE OF ART: AN EXECUTIVE SEARCH FINE-TUNED FOR DYNAMIC GLOBAL FIRMS
Founded in the U.S., ART is a worldwide executive search firm, bringing the highest and most exacting North American standards of executive search (headhunting), coupled with the fast paced, results-oriented, and efficient style that 21st Century Asian business demands.
We are a
worldwide executive search firm recruiting senior management for multinationals, fast growth medium sized firms,
and dynamic startups. We recruit "world class" managers for the
industrial, high tech, and service sectors.
ART recruits on a pan-Asian basis, and within all major linguistic and cultural communities of Asia. Most Asian executive search firms, by contrast, are highly localized, so that a Shanghai recruitment firm might not know people or companies in Beijing, Qingdao, Dalian, Tianjin, Chengdu, Xiamen, Shenzhen, or Guangzhou. Most Hong Kong recruitment firms do not know people or companies outside of Hong Kong, while most Taipei or Hsinchu recruitment firms do not know companies or candidates outside of Taiwan. Because most Asian recruitment firms are not usually recruiting beyond their own cities or countries, our competitors are useless to our typical clients and candidates, especially when a company needs to evaluate the best possible candidates across multiple cities and countries in Asia.
There are many opportunities in the Asian and global markets, for both employers and candidates. But the difference between success and failure in a strategic executive search assignment could rest upon the experience of the headhunter who makes the match between one person and one company. All ART searches are managed by a recruiter with a minimum of ten years' experience in executive search - a standard of care and professionalism frequently lacking in our competition. We hope that you give ART an opportunity to prove our abilities to you. We believe that our risk-free, results-only process will make using ART a great resource for you globally.

OUR HOURS
The Global Market and the Global Economy have no time to lose, so our hours
are your hours.
ART's operations center is open virtually 24 hours a day, 7
days a week, 365 days a year. Candidates and employers the world over can work with their ART recruiter in their own time zone. There is not a need when working with ART to have to take into account what time zone the recruiter is located in.
While our competition are asleep, ART recruiters are working dutifully to fill our client needs. This means that typically ART searches are completed in half or third of the time as our competition, allowing our client companies to rapidly evaluate our candidates and to get started an interview process for their very important needs.
Most searches are finished in 2-4 weeks, regardless of location or title. This is because we not only work efficiently, but because we only accept searches for which we have a high degree of competence.
ART FEES & OTHER POLICIES
- There is no fee to a client for our services if they do not hire our candidate
- A fee is only due if the client hires our candidate
- Our fee is a single fee, quoted at the start of the search. It is a flat fee that is calculated according to the unique specifics of the client's search need. This fee is not based on candidate salary and it does not change according to the candidate's salary. There are no additional charges of any kind.
- ART fees are quoted in US dollars, thereby frequently offering an additional benefit to clients whose currency is trading at a favorable rate to the USD.
- Many recruitment firms require retainers (advanced payments), exclusives, and many months to complete their searches. ART is paid nothing, unless the client is satisfied with our candidates.
- We welcome competition on any search, because competition is good for us and for our clients. We want our clients to hire only the best possible candidate, even if it should be from another recruitment firm. By contrast, most of our competitors view executive search contracts as relationships where the client is forced to guarantee them payment, even if they are not satisfied with the candidates presented to them.
- ART bases its executive search recruitment on headhunting via the "direct approach" method, whereas many of our competitors only know how to find candidates by advertising, and other luck-based strategies of recruitment. We do not believe that our clients hire us to place jobs advertisements or to depend upon luck in order to find their senior managers. They need us to find specific managers with specific skills at a specific, targeted group of companies. That is what headhunters know how to do.
