OUR RECRUITMENT FOCUS IN
THE BRAZIL & LATIN AMERICAN MARKET
Local managers and
expatriate managers for foreign companies, where the goal is to increase
local market share with bilingual Portuguese-English, trilingual
(Portuguese - Spanish - English), or multilingual managers who have
strong track records of success in the Brazilian market or in the other
national markets of South America and Latin America.
- Our emphasis in this kind of search is to find
managers who perform well in accordance with the business
culture of the foreign company. In addition to being fluent in
Portuguese and English, ART has candidates in certain industry
sectors who are fluent in other European, Asian and Mideast languages,
allowing for stronger communications between HQ and the local market.
Brazilian candidates who are fully fluent in Spanish would be of special
value for pan-Latin roles.
- Whenever possible, for this kind of search we
seek candidates who have worked at their best in this role at foreign
firms. We take particular care to try to find people who are accustomed
to working in a business model that resembles that of the client
company. A person who works well at a top, large foreign firm in Brazil,
for example, might not be the right person as employee #1 at a foreign
greenfield business unit in Brazil.
- Our objective in this search is to find
candidates who are sensitive to both the business culture of the home
company and to that of the local
Brazilian or Latin American customers. The objective is
to find a leader whom the foreign company can trust to run their
business, while effectively reaching local customers in a way that they
will find comforting.
- Searches might be at the Brazil national
level, Southern Cone level, South America level, or pan-Latin
America level.
Fast-paced, internationally oriented Portuguese-speaking
managers for Brazilian firms that need to change their management
style to reflect a more outward, global management style, in order to
compete more effectively globally
- Large Brazilian corporations that
might need to find a change-agent senior manager to help their
long range business growth plans.
Foreign
companies whose Brazilian unit is their Latin American regional
headquarters might need ART to help find managers in other Latin
American countries.
- When expanding internationally, many firms do
not know where to find local managers who have a high enough standard of
training to properly manage their business. ART candidates in other
countries, some trained in North America or Europe, have been tested as
managers at leading world companies, and they could be the best way for
Brazilian or Brazil-based companies to expand abroad.
- ART's approach to executive search is to avoid
risks whenever possible and to find candidates who bring the best long
term benefits to the client company.
- Unlike most recruitment firms based in Brazil,
which have to depend upon outsourced recruiters and unclear
partnerships with foreign recruiters for overseas searches, ART does
100% of all our own recruitment. We recruit directly in over 100
countries, and we never use any other recruitment company to find our
candidates. In this way, we are able to deliver excellent candidates
with the same level of efficiency and quality of service that is
expected in our clients' home countries.
- We also recruit Brazilian managers
outside of Brazil. Most of these managers have strong business
experiences in the target area, language and market. Because many of
these managers have effectively localized, they often do not require
expatriate benefits requirements.

PROFILE OF ART: AN
EXECUTIVE SEARCH FINE-TUNED FOR DYNAMIC GLOBAL FIRMS
Founded in
the U.S., ART is a worldwide executive search firm, bringing the highest
and most exacting North American standards of executive search
(headhunting), coupled with the fast paced, results-oriented, and
efficient style that 21st Century business demands.
We are a
worldwide executive search firm recruiting senior management for
multinationals, fast growth medium sized firms,
and dynamic startups. We recruit "world class" managers for the
industrial, high tech, and service sectors.
ART recruits on a
pan-Brazilian basis. Most Brazilian executive search firms, by contrast,
are highly localized, so that a São Paulo recruitment firm might not
know people or companies in Rio, Macaé, Belo Horizonte, Manaus, Curitiba
or other cities. Most Brazilian recruitment firms do not know of
candidates in other countries. Because most recruitment firms are not
even experts in their own countries, our competitors are useless to our
typical clients and candidates, especially when a company needs to evaluate the
best possible candidates across multiple cities and countries. In these cases, when a firm needs to quickly evaluate the
best candidates across a country, a continent, or globally, ART can be
of greatest help.
There are many
opportunities in the Brazilian market, for both employers and
candidates. But the difference between success and
failure in a strategic executive search assignment could
rest upon the experience of the headhunter who makes the match
between one person and one company. All ART searches are managed by a
recruiter with a minimum of ten years' experience in executive search - a
standard of care and professionalism frequently lacking in our
competition. We hope that you give ART an opportunity to prove our
abilities to you. We believe that our risk-free, results-only
process will make using ART a great resource for you globally.

OUR HOURS
The Global Market
and the Global Economy have no time to lose, so our hours
are your hours.
ART's operations center is open virtually 24 hours a day, 7
days a week, 365 days a year. Candidates and employers the world over
can work with their ART recruiter in their own time zone. There is not a
need when working with ART to have to take into account what time zone
the recruiter is located in.
While our competition
are asleep, ART recruiters are working dutifully to fill our client
needs. This means that typically ART searches are completed in half or
third of the time as our competition, allowing our client companies to
rapidly evaluate our candidates and to get started an interview process
for their very important needs.
Most searches are
finished in 2-4 weeks, regardless of location or title. This is because
we not only work efficiently, but because we only accept searches for
which we have a high degree of competence.
ART
FEES & OTHER POLICIES
- There is no fee to a
client for our services if they do not hire our candidate
- A fee is only due if the
client hires our candidate
- Our fee is a single fee,
quoted at the start of the search. It is a flat fee that is calculated
according to the unique specifics of the client's search need. This fee
is not based on candidate salary and it does not change according to the
candidate's salary. There are no additional charges of any kind.
- ART fees are quoted in
US dollars, thereby frequently offering an additional benefit to clients
whose currency is trading at a favorable rate to the USD.
- Many recruitment firms
require retainers (advanced payments), exclusives, and many months to
complete their searches. ART is paid nothing, unless the client is
satisfied with our candidates.
- We welcome competition
on any search, because competition is good for us and for our clients.
We want our clients to hire only the best possible candidate, even if it
should be from another recruitment firm. By contrast, most of our
competitors view executive search contracts as relationships where the
client is forced to guarantee them payment, even if they are
not satisfied with the candidates presented to them.
- ART bases its executive
search recruitment on headhunting via the "direct approach" method,
whereas many of our competitors only know how to find candidates by
advertising, and other luck-based strategies of recruitment. We do not
believe that our clients hire us to place jobs advertisements or to
depend upon luck in order to find their senior managers. They need us to
find specific managers with specific skills at a specific,
targeted group of companies. That is what headhunters know how to do.
