ABOUT OUR CANDIDATES
While our emphasis is on finding candidates who live in the same city where our client needs them to be, if there is flexibility by our client as far as relocation policy, we can easily broaden the recruitment radius regionally, nationally or even internationally. We are easily equipped to recruit in multiple cities or countries across Asia simultaneously without any special delay.
Our emphasis is on in-country candidates (locals and expatriates), but ART has the added advantage that we recruit globally, so we are easily able to supplement local choices with top candidates now residing in other parts of Asia, North America, Europe, Australia or elsewhere who have industry experiences, cultural roots, or language skills directly related to the target Asian country.
Because ART is a global executive search firm, we can be especially useful for searches involving cross-cultural or international recruitment requirements, where trust and minimal risk are of special importance. ART recruits candidates across the linguistic and cultural groups present in the Asia-Pacific region. Many of our candidates in the Asia-Pacific region have been educated at leading universities and business schools in the U.S.A., Canada, Australia or Europe, and if they have not trained or worked abroad, most have had successful track records working at successful local business units of European, American, Canadian or Australian firms.
It is always the goal of ART recruiters to try to find good candidate matches that minimize the risk to our client companies:
- Whenever possible, we try to identify candidates who have language skills and business styles that are those of the employer.
- We look for candidates who know the client's product or market, who have good local contacts with customers and suppliers.
- Most importantly, we seek candidates whose personal preferences and career histories are aligned with the client's corporate business model and business culture. Not all companies are the same, and so a person who is a great General Manager for a very large multinational company, might be very ill-suited to the needs of a faster-paced medium sized company, and vice versa.
- We understand these subtleties well, as we have over 25 years' making such matches - a longevity and depth of experience that just is not found among recruitment firms in Asia. ART sets the standard of executive search in Asia.
All ART candidates are expected to have fluent or very strong conversational English skills. Typically our candidates are also fluent in the principal business language of their specific Asian country, although this might not always be the case with certain otherwise qualified expatriate candidates. Many of our candidates are multilingual. Many have worked in or serviced multiple Asian countries.
We conduct senior management executive search assignments across the Asia-Pacific Region, on the Asia-Pacific, Asia Regional, sub-regional, or national levels. Candidate focus is on the recruitment of experienced managers who have worked at leading global companies or at well-run medium sized companies that have strong footholds in Asia or beyond. Other top candidates may also be considered.
Some executive searches are for mission-critical sole-contributors, while other searches are for organizational heads supervising many hundreds or thousands of staff members.
