BRAZIL & PORTUGAL EXECUTIVE SEARCH
Lusophone Market Recruitment
|
OUR RECRUITMENT FOCUS IN THE PORTUGUESE-SPEAKING COUNTRIES
BRAZIL: Local managers and expatriate managers for foreign companies, where the goal is to increase local market share with bilingual Portuguese-English, trilingual (Portuguese - Spanish - English), or multilingual managers who have strong track records of success in the Brazilian market or in the other national markets of South America and Latin America.
PORTUGAL: Local managers and expatriate managers for foreign companies, where the goal is to increase local market share with bilingual Portuguese-English, trilingual (Portuguese - Spanish - English), or multilingual managers who have strong track records of success in the Iberian or other markets of Europe.
AFRICA: For Portuguese-speaking Africa, ART clients are specially served by ART's Africa Recruitment Practice. For Lusophone Africa, candidates might be recruited from Africa or from other Portuguese-speaking candidates globally.
Foreign companies needing Brazilian or Portuguese managers for their Brazil or Portugal business units.
- Our emphasis in this kind of search is to find managers who perform well in accordance with the business culture of the foreign company. In addition to being fluent in Portuguese and English, ART has candidates in certain industry sectors who are fluent in other European, Asian and Mideast languages, allowing for stronger communications between HQ and the local market.
- Brazilian and Portuguese candidates who are fully fluent in Spanish would be of special value for pan-Latin or pan-Iberian roles.
- Whenever possible, for this kind of search we seek candidates who have worked at their best in this role at foreign firms. We take particular care to try to find people who are accustomed to working in a business model that resembles that of the client company. A person who works well at a top, large foreign firm in Brazil, for example, might not be the right person as employee #1 at a foreign greenfield business unit in Brazil. Same in Portugal.
- Our objective in this search is to find candidates who are sensitive to both the business culture of the home company and to that of the local Brazilian, Portuguese, Latin American or Iberian customers. The objective is to find a leader whom the foreign company can trust to run their business, while effectively reaching local customers in a way that they will find comforting.
- Brazil Searches might be at the Brazil national level, Southern Cone level, South America level, or pan-Latin America level. Portugal Searches might be at the national level, Iberian level, Southern European level, or pan-European level.
Foreign companies whose Brazilian unit is their Latin American regional headquarters, and where there might be a need for ART to help find managers in other Latin American countries.
- When expanding internationally, many firms do not know where to find local managers who have a high enough standard of training to properly manage their business. ART candidates in other countries, some trained in North America or Europe, have been tested as managers at leading world companies, and they could be the best way for Brazilian or Brazil-based companies to expand abroad.
- ART's approach to executive search is to avoid risks whenever possible and to find candidates who bring the best long term benefits to the client company.
- Unlike most recruitment firms based in Brazil, which have to depend upon outsourced recruiters and unclear partnerships with foreign recruiters for overseas searches, ART does 100% of all our own recruitment. We recruit directly in over 100 countries, and we never use any other recruitment company to find our candidates. In this way, we are able to deliver excellent candidates with the same level of efficiency and quality of service that is expected in our clients' home countries.
