Global
Supply Chain Management
Chief
Supply Chain Officer, Chief Procurement Officer, VP Supply Chain, Director of Logistics, Sourcing Manager,...
ART recruits
supply chain professionals principally
from the
managerial ranks --particularly Vice
President of Supply Chain, VP
Global Procurement, VP Worldwide
Materials, Director of Procurement,
Logistics Directors, Materials Directors,
and other key managers who know how to
fine tune a
company's logistics, sourcing or inventory
control structures, either at the
global level, the divisional level, or the
factory level.
ART recruits
supply chain people for large, medium
sized and
small companies around the world. Being a
worldwide search firm we might be able to
offer client
companies a broad array of candidates for
their supply chain needs, be
they headquarters-based managers or
candidates located in other
countries. ART candidates are on six
continents, in over 100 countries, and are
of "world class"
calibre, typically having worked at
industry leading firms in their sectors,
with established track records of success.
ART recruiters
are often told by our clients that
ART is one of the few executive search
firms that really understands the supply
chain management field. We have been
recruiting in the supply chain field since
our establishment in 1987, and we approach
each supply chain executive search from a
problem-solving perspective, rather than
from a buzzword-chasing perspective, which
sadly is a common practice among many
recruitment firms today.
Each company
structures its sourcing, merchandising,
materials, distribution, and
logistics needs differently; therefore, we
have found that it is best to first ask a
client what their company's specific
supply chain related problems are, what
their goals are, what their current
resources are, and then we go out and
headhunt people to fill their
necessities.
Our competitors,
by contrast, if given a search for a "VP
Supply Chain," frequently look for
people with similar job titles and hope
that somehow they made a good match. We
know better, from long experience in
supply chain recruitment, that often
titles in this discipline can be
deceptive. When we evaluate candidates for
supply chain searches, we look beyond
a person's job titles and focus
instead on their achievements, duties, and
the business culture or specialized
markets in which they have worked.
In the sometimes
hurried pace of the global economy, too
often companies expect that the main
purpose of the Supply Chain department is
merely to cut costs. ART supply chain
candidates are recruited with the goals of
making our client companies more
efficient, more effective, and more
profitable, but not at the risk of
jeopardizing the quality of the client's
product or service in the eyes of their
cherished customers. What this can mean to
a company is that ART would seek a
Procurement Head who not only knows where
to save costs (ie., where to source from),
but also how to monitor consistent quality
of those products. Similarly, if ART were
asked to find a Logistics Director, we
would not only seek a candidate who knew
how to run an existing logistics
operation, but also how to
improve its efficiencies and
even how to make it better than those of
the competition.
This is the
difference between ART and our
competition. We are not just filling
vacancies. We are helping make our clients
better companies. Companies whose
management wants their firm to be the best
in their field. Companies that lead.
Companies that last. How best for
companies to achieve this success?
By hiring ART candidates who are
empowered to be the best that they can be!
