JOB DESCRIPTION:

Company & Position Overview
COMPANY is an award-winning end-to-end water services platform that makes it easy for safe water providers to design, build, operate and maintain water infrastructure. COMPANY embeds proprietary filtration technology with IoT-enabled monitoring systems within water infrastructure that enables the provision of 10 million liters of safe drinking water every month in partnership with forward-thinking public, private, and nongovernmental partners.

COMPANY’s founding team has prior experience deploying over 330 systems, and is looking to rapidly scale up its India footprint by hiring an India Head who can enthusiastically spend 90% of the first 12 months on growing topline revenues through business development, sales and marketing activities, and 10% on execution in partnership with the ______ to deliver a world-class experience for customers operating our systems in arsenic and fluoride-affected regions by managing procurement, construction, and after-sales servicing functions.

Responsibilities
·        Identify, target, and land top-level partnerships with Central and State Governments, Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, and Urban Local Bodies via tenders and other means to grow firm's footprint pan-India.

·        Work with senior staff to revise and expand products and services, and identify, evaluate, and lead strategic and tactical business opportunities.

·        Lead full sales life cycle by capturing and moving leads through sales process, delivering system to customer by understanding water quality reports and mechanical diagrams, and liaising with subcontractors and vendors to ensure system is deployed on time and on budget.

·        Manage day-to-day operations of COMPANY's sales, operations, and customer service staff by overseeing HR, Finance, Compliance functions.

·        Report directly to CEO of parent company and work with global company leads to realize cost efficiencies, operational improvements, and chart future strategy of the company through Monthly Business Reviews and input into Quarterly Board Meetings.

Expected Experience
·        5+ years leading small-to-medium teams by building processes from the ground-up for rapidly growing organizations (water sector specific experience ideally at an Engineering, Procurement and Construction firm with government tender revenue streams or at a water treatment company a plus).

·        3+ years top-level business development and partnerships experience in water sector, ideally in negotiating water-related public private partnerships, water and sanitation projects with coordination amongst governments, and contractors.

·        Extended work experience in India while working within international teams.

·        Deep network of contacts amongst government, corporate, and nonprofit service. providers and clients within the water sector.

·        Comfort overseeing sales, marketing, customer service and operations teams.

·        Extensive experience recruiting, hiring, and mentoring staff to build exceptional teams.

·        Degree in water or chemistry-related subject areas a plus

Needed Qualities
·        Willingness to learn about water treatment technology (prior water treatment technology experience preferred)

·        Natural mentor and team leader.

·        Passion towards bringing safe drinking water to underserved communities across India.

·        Enthusiasm for travel to rural areas.

Recruiter seeks a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), on behalf of a fast growing South Asian processed food company. The CPG firm is a leading nutrition-focused packaged food company based in its country. The CPG firm develops, produces, markets, and distributes micronutrient fortified packaged food to treat and prevent malnutrition among women, children, and adolescents. The firm manufactures a range of nutritional products, fortified chocolates, and fortified instant powdered beverages and porridges at our facility. 2023 turnover was ~$2.5M and the 2024 projected turnover is ~$4M. The current team is ~350 people, including the head office, factory, and sales organization.

The firm operates four primary lines of business:
1) A range of branded products that are distributed to more than 50,000 retail stores around the country.
2) Contract manufacturing for several of the country’s largest fast-moving consumer goods companies,
with distribution to more than 700,000 outlets nationwide.
3) Programmatic nutritional support for vulnerable populations

This CPG firm is searching for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to manage each of these four business verticals across R&D, sales, manufacturing, and marketing functions, with the goal of growing the business to revenues of $10M with gross profits of $2.5M by 2026.

Responsibilities
-Overseeing all manufacturing operations, including sourcing of equipment and materials, production schedules, staffing, factory maintenance and capital expenditures, R&D, and quality assurance. Ensuring organizational prioritization of product quality above all else

-Leading a 50+ person branded sales organization to meet and exceed targets across traditional, modern trade and e-commerce channels

-Deepening relationships with existing contract manufacturing and institutional partners while generating and closing new high-value leads

-Driving innovation, planning, and execution in marketing across digital, content, trade, sponsorship, and sampling channels in line with our customer segmentation strategy
