Local
managers for foreign companies,
where the goal is to increase
local market share with bilingual
German-English or multilingual
managers who have strong track
records of success in the
national markets of
Switzerland, Germany, and Austria,
or in the European or EMEA market
as a unity.
- Our
emphasis in this kind of search
is to find managers who perform
well
in accordance with the
business culture of the
foreign company. In addition to
being fluent in German and
English, ART has candidates in
certain industry sectors who are
fluent in other European, Asian
and Mideast languages, allowing
for stronger communications
between HQ and the local market.
- Whenever
possible, for this kind of
search we seek candidates who
have worked at their best in
this role at foreign firms. We
take particular care to try to
find people who are accustomed
to working in a business model
that resembles that of the
client company. A person who
works well at a top, large
German firm, for example,
might not be the right person as
employee #1 at a medium-sized
foreign firm's greenfield
business unit in Germany.
- Our
objective in this search is to
find candidates who are
sensitive to both the business
culture of the home company and
to that of the local
Swiss, German,
or Austrian customers.
The objective is to find a
leader whom the foreign company
can trust to run their business,
while effectively reaching local
customers in a way that they
will find comforting.
- Searches
might be at the national level,
D-A-CH level, pan-European
level, or EMEA level. As ART is
frequently asked by our client
companies to identify EMEA
Managing Directors or pan-Europe
Sales Directors who are based in
Switzerland or Germany,
candidates with additional
fluency in multiple European
languages are especially of
interest to us.
Foreign managers, some fluent
in German as well as English
and the local language, who can be
entrusted to manage Swiss, German,
or Austrian business units
in Europe, Asia, Latin America,
North America, Africa or the Middle
East
- When expanding overseas, many
Swiss, German,
or Austrian firms - especially Mittelstand
SME's - 'kleine und mittlere
Unternehmen', KMU - do not
know where to find local
managers who have a high enough
standard of training to properly
manage their business. ART
candidates in other countries,
some trained in Europe, have
been tested as managers at
leading world companies, and
they could be the best way for
Swiss, German,
or Austrian companies
to expand abroad.
- ART's approach to executive
search is to avoid risks
whenever possible and to find
candidates who bring the best
long term benefits to the client
company.
- Unlike most recruitment firms
based in Switzerland, Germany
or Austria, which have to
depend upon outsourced
recruiters and unclear
partnerships with foreign
recruiters for overseas
searches, ART does 100% of all
our own recruitment. We recruit
directly in over 100 countries,
and we never use any other
recruitment company to find our
candidates. In this way, we are
able to deliver excellent
candidates with the same level
of efficiency and quality of
service that is expected in our
clients' home countries.
- We also recruit Swiss, German,
or Austrian managers outside of
the D-A-CH region. Most of
these managers have strong
business experiences in the
target area, language and
market. Because many of these
managers have effectively
localized, they often do not
require expatriate benefits.
Fast-paced, internationally
oriented German-speaking managers
for Swiss, German, or Austrian firms
that need to change their management
style to reflect a more outward,
pan-European or global style, in
order to compete more effectively
worldwide
- Very
large Swiss, German,
or Austrian corporations,
medium sized public
corporations, as well as
traditional medium sized
privately-owned (Mittelstand SME
- 'kleine und mittlere
Unternehmen', KMU), that
might need to find
a change-agent senior
manager to help their long range
business growth plans.
- Many
of these firms have been in
continuous operation for over
100 years, often under the
leadership of a single family.
So much of the firm's historic
successes have been due to the
dedication of family managers to
product excellence, and often
these businesses' successes are
due to working with the best,
brightest and hardest working
people in their local
communities. The success of
these businesses and the
excellence of their products
should serve as models for
larger world companies!
The
challenge today is that in a
globalized world economy, how
can such firms adjust to take
advantage of larger world
business opportunities without
sacrificing models that have
worked best for them? At ART we
are familiar with such growth
challenges and we try to find
trustworthy and competent
managers who can build bridges
to the future for these great
firms, so that they can be even
greater firms!
ART:
AN EXECUTIVE SEARCH FINE-TUNED
FOR DYNAMIC GLOBAL FIRMS
Founded
in the U.S.A. in 1987, ART is a
worldwide executive search firm,
bringing the highest and most
exacting North American standards
of executive search (headhunting),
coupled with the fast paced,
results-oriented, and efficient
style that 21st Century
European business demands.
We are a worldwide executive
search firm recruiting senior- and
middle-management for
multinationals, fast growth medium
sized firms, and dynamic startups.
We recruit "world class" managers
for the industrial, high tech, and
service sectors.
ART
recruits on a pan-European basis,
and within all major linguistic
and cultural communities of
Europe. Most European executive
search firms, by contrast, are
highly localized. Few of
these recruitment firms likely
would know of candidates in other
countries. Because most European
recruitment firms are not even
experts in their own countries,
our competitors are useless to our
typical clients and candidates,
especially when a company needs to
evaluate the best possible
candidates across multiple cities
and countries. When considering if
ART meets your need, please
consider that:
- most
Zurich recruitment firms do
not know candidates or companies
in Geneva, Basel, Lucerne, or
other major Swiss cities.
- most Munich recruitment
firms do not know people or
companies in Hamburg, Berlin,
Frankfurt, Köln, or other major
German cities.
- most
Vienna recruitment
firms do not know
candidates or companies in Graz,
Salzburg, or other major
Austrian cities.
When D-A-CH candidates or
D-A-CH companies need to look
beyond their immediate cities,
across their state or province,
across their nation, in order to
find the best D-A-CH managers
who think on a continental basis,
local recruitment companies that
divide Europe into small
feudal recruitment territories are
just not of the right mindset to
be of help. In these cases, when a
firm needs to quickly evaluate the
best candidates across a continent
or globally, ART can be of
greatest help.
European firms wishing to expand
into the US, Latin America, Asia,
the Mideast or Africa, can also
rely on ART to help introduce the
right contacts in those regions.
We know and respect local markets
while serving as a bridge between
them. This is the great value that
ART brings its clients and
candidates.
There are many opportunities in
the European market, for both
employers and candidates. But the
difference between success and
failure in a strategic
executive search assignment could
rest upon the experience of
the headhunter who makes the match
between one person and one
company. All ART searches are
managed by a recruiter with a
minimum of ten years' experience
in executive search - a standard
of care and professionalism
frequently lacking in our
competition. We hope that you give
ART an opportunity to prove our
abilities to you. We believe that
our risk-free, results-only
process will make using ART a
great resource for you globally.
