Executive Search in Europe

For 30 years, ART has recruited top European managers who have tremendously contributed to our clients' revenue and growth. Our candidates and industry contacts are deep, and unlike virtually every other recruitment firm in Europe, ART has never resorted to using jobs advertisements to identify good candidates.

We are trained headhunters, paid to seek out the best managers in Europe via professional headhunting methods. Recruitment by advertising is a luck-based strategy, and ART is never hired by a client to be lucky. Real headhunters do not place job ads to find candidates. Since our founding in 1987 we have never used jobs advertisements to find candidates. This is in significant contrast to nearly all European firms engaging in recruitment.

ART is an American executive search firm founded in 1987 that recruits non-bureaucratic, results-oriented senior managers and middle managers throughout Europe, as well as Europe-experienced managers globally, for firms seeking to expand, develop, or harmonize their global businesses.

We conduct senior management executive search assignments across the EMEA Region, on the EMEA, Europe Regional, sub-regional, or national levels. Candidate focus is on the recruitment of experienced managers who have worked at leading global companies or at well-run medium sized companies that have strong footholds in Europe or beyond. Other top candidates may also be considered.

Some executive searches are for mission-critical sole-contributors, while other searches are for organizational heads supervising many hundreds or thousands of staff members.

1. We recruit everywhere in Europe, not just in one city or one country.

3. Most European recruitment firms are sadly addicted to two ruinous practices that do not usually benefit any employer: (a) advanced payment (retainer), which only guarantees that the agency will be satisfied financially, and (b) recruitment through advertising, a purely hit-or-miss luck-based strategy, that requires no knowledge, contacts, or any kind of expertise in the client's market or industry.

By contrast, ART assigns an industry-experienced recruiter to the client's search. An experienced recruiter, coupled with a results-only, headhunting-based focus, brings your company the best available candidates, at the least possible cost and risk to you.

ART IS IN FULL COMPLIANCE WITH EUROPEAN EMPLOYMENT LAW & INTERNATIONAL TREATIES:

  • ART is not in any way involved in the hiring, payroll, visa/immigration details, or employment of candidates referred by ART to a client-company, as would an employment agency. The Employer of Record would be our European client-company's legal entity or another local European established company entity chosen by our client-company.

  • For non-EU providers like a US firm like ART, the WTO General Agreement on Trade in Services (GATS) and bilateral agreements (e.g., US-EU Trade and Technology Council discussions) allow cross-border supply of business services, including executive search as advisory, without local establishment.  (see: CPC 865 under WTO classifications)
