Executive Search in Asia‑Pacific

ART has  been recruiting in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region since the early 1990's. This was before most of today's recruiters at our competition were even born. Our industry contacts and our understanding of senior and middle management executive search in the Asian region is deeper than that of most other firms, especially in the matter of a foreign company's urgent need to recruit a top manager in Asia to grow their business.

Unlike virtually every other recruitment firm in the region, ART has never resorted to using jobs advertisements to identify good candidates. Advertising is a luck-based strategy, and ART is never hired by a client to be lucky.

ART is an American executive search firm founded in 1987 that recruits non-bureaucratic, results-oriented senior managers and middle managers throughout Asia, as well as Asia-experienced managers globally, for firms seeking to expand, develop, or harmonize their Asia-Pacific businesses.

    We conduct senior management executive search assignments across the Asia-Pacific Region, on the Asia-Pacific, Asia Regional, sub-regional, or national levels. Candidate focus is on the recruitment of experienced managers who have worked at leading global companies or at well-run medium sized companies that have strong footholds in Asia or beyond. Other top candidates may also be considered.

  • Typical positions are for very senior, top management roles, such as CEO, COO, Managing Director, President, General Manager, Country Manager, VP Sales and Marketing, National Sales Director, National Sales Manager, CFO, VP Finance, Director of Finance, Financial Controller, Plant Manager, Factory Manager, VP Supply Chain, Supply Chain Director, Chief Information Officer, VP Human Resources, Chief Legal Counsel, etc.
  • While our emphasis is on finding candidates who live in the same city where our client needs them to be, if there is flexibility by our client as far as relocation policy, we can easily broaden the recruitment radius regionally, nationally or even internationally.   • ART recruits candidates across the linguistic and cultural groups present in the Asia-Pacific region. Many of our candidates in the Asia-Pacific region have been educated at leading universities and business schools in the U.S.A., Canada, Australia or Europe, and if they have not trained or worked abroad, most have had successful track records working at successful local business units of European, American, Canadian or Australian firms.
  • Whenever possible, we try to identify candidates who have language skills and business styles that are those of the employer.
  • We look for candidates who know the client's product or market, who have good local contacts with customers and suppliers.
  • Most importantly, we seek candidates whose personal preferences and career histories are aligned with the client's corporate business model and business culture. Not all companies are the same, and so a person who is a great General Manager for a very large multinational company, might be very ill-suited to the needs of a faster-paced medium sized company, and vice versa.
  • We understand these subtleties well, as we have over 30 years' making such matches - a longevity and depth of experience that just is not found among recruitment firms in Asia. ART sets the standard of executive search in Asia.
  • Typically our candidates are also fluent in the principal business language of their specific Asian country, although this might not always be the case with certain otherwise qualified expatriate candidates.
